Day 1: Arrival in Rishikesh Our adventure begins in the picturesque town of Rishikesh, known as the "Gateway to the Himalayas." After a scenic drive from Haridwar, we reach Rishikesh and spend the day exploring the vibrant markets and soaking in the spiritual atmosphere of this holy city. We recommend visiting the iconic suspension bridge, Ram Jhula, and attending the evening Aarti ceremony on the banks of the sacred River Ganges.

The drive takes us through the scenic landscapes of the Garhwal region, passing charming villages and cascading waterfalls along the way. Upon reaching Govindghat, we relax and prepare ourselves for the trek ahead.

Day 3: Govindghat to Ghangaria The actual trek begins as we trek from Govindghat to Ghangaria, a small settlement located at an altitude of 9,800 feet. The trail follows the roaring River Pushpavati, and we are surrounded by lush greenery, pine forests, and occasional glimpses of snow-capped peaks. Ghangaria serves as our base camp for exploring the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib.

Day 4: Exploring the Valley of Flowers Today is the day we have been eagerly waiting for. We set off early in the morning to explore the legendary Valley of Flowers. As we make our way through the gentle uphill trail, the valley gradually unfolds before us, revealing a kaleidoscope of colors. Endless carpets of alpine flowers, including orchids, primulas, poppies, and countless other varieties, create a surreal and captivating sight. We spend the day exploring the valley, capturing its beauty through our lenses, and immersing ourselves in its serene ambiance.

Day 5: Hemkund Sahib Excursion On this day, we undertake an excursion to the sacred Hemkund Sahib, a Sikh Gurudwara located at an altitude of 14,100 feet. The trail ascends steeply, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. Hemkund Sahib is nestled beside a pristine glacial lake, and the tranquil atmosphere and religious significance make it a truly special place.
